Cardiovascular Disease Application and Interview Process
Candidates who would like to be considered for one of two positions in the Cardiovascular
Disease Fellowship program (6 CVD fellows altogether) need to submit an application
via the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS).
Interviews are by invitation only and are generally offered to applicants with a
combination of solid medical school performance, above average USMLE scores, and
recent clinical experience in U.S. hospitals in which the student or physician had
meaningful responsibility for patient management decisions. In addition, three letters
of recommendation are preferred.
Applicants who are interested in applying should contact the MyERAS Web site. This
is where you complete your application and personal statement, select programs to
apply to, and assign documents to be received by those programs.
A complete application should include:
- Complete an ERAS Common Application
- Curriculum Vitae
- USMLE Scores (Steps 1, 2, and 3 or equivalent)
- Personal statement
- At least 3 letters of recommendation
- Medical School Transcript
- ECFMG (if applicable)
- Our institution sponsors J-1 Visas only
The deadline for accepting applications for 2011 is January 31, 2010. Interview appointments are generally scheduled during March and April.
Beginning with the 2007 application and interview process, we will be accepting applications through the Electronic Residency Application Service, ERAS® Post Office for our Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship program.
