Lannie Cation, MD, FACPLannie Cation, MD, FACP
Program Director, Internal Medicine
Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine, IUSOM

Medical School:  Baylor College of Medicine, Houston, Texas
Residency: Wright-Patterson Medical Center, WPAFB, OH

Dr. Cation joined the Internal Medicine Faculty in 2005. He is a General Internist who serves as a Clinician Educator in both the inpatient and outpatient arenas at St. Vincent Hospital. In addition to patient care, teaching and program administration, Dr. Cation is very interested and active in medical education research and has published several articles on the topic. He is also Coordinator for the St. Vincent Faculty Development Program.

Robert Love, MD, FACPRobert Love, MD, FACP
Associate Director, Inpatient Services

Medical School: The University of Kansas School of Medicine
Residency: St.Vincent Internal Medicine Residency, Indianapolis, IN

Dr. Love spent 4 years as a General Internist in central Ohio before returning to St. Vincent Hospital to serve as Associate Program Director with involvement in both the inpatient and outpatient settings. In addition to his love for teaching, Dr. Love has a special interest in medical care for the underserved. Prior to medical school, he spent three years as Pharmacy Director at Hospital Albert Schweitzer in Deschapelles, Haiti and has made several trips to Haiti since joining the St. Vincent faculty. 

Victor Collier, MDVictor Collier, MD

Medical School: Indiana University School of Medicine
Residency: Indiana University, Indianapolis, IN

Dr. Collier joined the Internal Medicine faculty in 2009. He is a General Internist who serves as a clinical educator in the inpatient, outpatient and pre-operative arenas at St. Vincent Hospital. Dr. Collier has special interest in perioperative medicine and medical education with an emphasis on using newer electronic technologies to enhance resident education.

Steve Knaus, MDSteve Knaus, MD
Associate Director, Ambulatory Education 

Medical School: Indiana University School of Medicine
Residency: St. Vincent Internal Medicine Residency, Indianapolis, Indiana

Dr. Knaus’ major clinical interest is in promoting quality ambulatory internal medicine training in the residency program. He has a special interest in diagnosis and management of Clostridium difficile infection and continues to lead a related quality improvement initiative within the program. 

 

Laurel Fick, MDLaurel Fick, MD 
Program Director, Preliminary and Transitional Medicine

Medical School: Southern Illinois University School of Medicine
Residency: Medical University of South Carolina, Charleston

Dr. Fick joined St. Vincent in August 2009 and is the chair of the Curriculum Committee and Resident Quality Improvement Projects. She also serves on the Graduate Medical Education Committee.
