"The experience of conducting clinical research was invaluable. I was surprised at how excited patients and their families were to participate. I received several letters of appreciation. Some families and patients were grateful for the opportunity to help when they otherwise felt helpless. I am sure that my research also helped in securing my Fellowship position in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine.
