2005-2006 Scholarly Activity

"The experience of conducting clinical research was invaluable. I was surprised at how excited patients and their families were to participate. I received several letters of appreciation. Some families and patients were grateful for the opportunity to help when they otherwise felt helpless. I am sure that my research also helped in securing my Fellowship position in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine. Finally, I am confident that my research contributed to the whole of medical knowledge in the diagnosis of one of the deadliest conditions we have at St Vincent - sepsis."  -- W. Graham Carlos, MD - class of 2008
