For the third time in its history, St.Vincent was selected by Thomson Reuters for the Top 100 Hospitals: National Benchmarks award for 2008. This award acknowledged the organizational achievement we’ve made by aligning our board, management team, associates, and medical staff in a concerted effort to achieve balanced excellence. Thomson Reuters based their selections on objective performance measurements across five critical areas: clinical process and outcomes, patient safety, patient perception of care, operational efficiency and financial stability.

St.Vincent was also a recipient of the inaugural Everest Award for National Benchmarks. This award was given to 23 of the Top 100 Hospitals, recognizing hospitals that have developed and executed strategies that drove the highest rate of long-term improvements, resulting in the highest performance in the country at the end of five years.

These honors would not have been possible without the hard work, dedication and Spirit of Caring that each of the St. Vincent associates practices every day at St.Vincent. These recognitions were given to St.Vincent, but they belong to each and every associate.
